Hi, my name is Anita.
I’m a UX Designer currently based in Salt Lake City. I strive to play a part in people’s stories and simplify their processes in ways they don’t realize. I love the creative freedom I have with gathering information and turning insights into practical solutions.
Coming from a healthcare background - most recently as a medical assistant - I worked with patients, acknowledging their pain points and alleviating ones within my scope. Understanding a patient’s full story, from before their initial visit, to experiencing first-hand how treatment affects them physically, emotionally, and mentally was crucial in helping me fine-tune my empathy skills and better anticipate the needs of others. This along with my desire to be challenged, to think critically to solve problems, while having the creative freedom to do so, is what drew me to UX Design.
I always felt the greatest satisfaction knowing that I had played a part in making a patient’s experience seamless and uncomplicated. Though I am no longer caring and advocating for patients, my user-focused approach continues to be directed by the clinical knowledge and experience I’ve gained.
